Problem

Youth from the Pacific Region are often not present at international meetings and conferences. The Youth Coalition feels that there is a need to train youth activists from the region so that they are better able to advocate for their rights and be informed on how to reach decision makers.

The Gift

Listening to youth activists is not a priority for many governments, that is why we believe that we need to train youth from different regions on advocacy techniques that will capture the attention of decision makers. With this gift you will ensure that a youth activist from the Pacific Region can attend our advocacy training in the Fall of 2007. By attending this meeting they will be able to meet and network with other youth activits, regional organization working in the field of Sexual and Reproductive rights, as well as develop their own advocacy skills.
